This comission came from the idea of creating a tiktok dance for the release of the doll BFF Kristal. As a result, a coreography was made, easy enough for children to be able to copy it.
Materials and Animation
The challenge of this animation was the doll itself.
The client wanted the doll to dance and not a representation of it and for that the puppet needed some adaptations so it could be animated.
The clothes were wired, the boots had screws to be able to fixate them to the ground and the hair was glued (and had a wire structure underneath attached to the doll’s head).
The most significant challenge came along when the doll had two or three moments that was out of balance or taking turns. Because the weight of the head was much bigger than the rest of the body, it need a rig just for it!
