Olá!

I’m Mariana, an Animator and Filmmaker from Lisbon, Portugal.



I’ve graduted from the School of Cinema of Barcelona with an MA in Stop Motion Animation, where I directed the short film Pobre Antonio. I’ve also created the short film, Lessons in the Kitchen, a 2D animation film, while doing a BA in Communication Design at the Fine Arts University of Lisbon.

Since I was little I was very interest in fantasy and fiction, it drew me in the possibility of new worlds and realities. Combining that with my interested in documenting and telling stories about people and their everyday life, makes my work an exploration of taking reality into fantasy all through animation.
